Measuring UP

I have been on a plateau for over a month in weight loss, but I can tell a difference in my body just by the way my clothes are fitting. So with the help of my wonderful hubby we did measurements of my entire body at the beginning of the week and will be doing them at least once a month to see progress in inches not pounds. At the end of the day if I can progress down in a pants size that is all that matters!

  1. Hello there! I found you through the OHP link-up, started reading, and was so inspired! I'm five weeks pregnant with my first child and have been worried a little about the weight I would gain and such, after reading a few of your posts I had to follow. I didn't even have a blog-lovin account, but I do now! Thanks so much for your posts and inspiration, whether you meant it to be or not, it was just that to me! :)

    1. I have seen tons of ladies lose inches but not the pounds. Hoping the measurements will give me the loss numbers that I have been waiting on:)

  4. Hahah I so wish cake went to my boobs. Actually I wish it went to my hips and my booty cause I don't have mucha' that aha. I think it's a great idea to take measurements. I've been looking all over hells half acre trying to find my tape so I can start doing measurements. Since I haven't lost anything in 6 weeks really, I think it would be helpful to take them so I can hopefully see SOME sort of fruit of my labor aha. :)

  5. Measurements are a great way to track progress. I saw a great photo comparison yesterday of a girl & her weight. Through her progress of getting healthy, the scale went up for her but she became more fit. I thought it was a great reminder that while a scale CAN be helpful, we shouldn't use it as our only means to judge our health or how we're doing in creating a healthy lifestyle.

    1. I feel as if I am getting more fit, but the scale is not moving! I absolutely agree a scale is just one of many numbers:)

  6. Oh how I wish cake went to my boobs too!!!! I think measuring inches is so much more effective than the scale and I'm definitely going to start doing that when my DietBet is over. I still have 3 pounds left to lose in 17 days and its gonna be tough!!!!!! Keep up the great work girlfriend and thanks for linking up!!
