MS Possible

In 2005, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

Usually I only get extreme reactions once every 3 months.

Personally, it takes everything I have just to move my aching body out of the bed during these weeks. The hubby says he can always tell because one of my eyes looks extremely smaller, or slight eye drooping in my right eye.

It has definitely been a MS-ing week!

Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, often disabling disease that attacks the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe, such as paralysis or loss of vision. The progress, severity, and specific symptoms of MS are unpredictable and vary from one person to another.

After initial diagnoses, I was with an amazing team of MS specialist in Augusta, Georgia. Which gave me added hope in my future for having a fulfilling life with children.

I have high expectations of myself on a physical level because I know that I need to optimize taking care of myself in order to live a long and productive life.

I try to be a positive force of nature in all circumstances, as I know that I am Blessed and there are people who have far worse life-threatening conditions.

I can do all thing through Christ who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

Every step you take matters in making a better version of yourself!

Weighting

I know you have been all weighting for some pictures!

Let's just say I tipped over the 200lbs on the scale with my first pregnancy and it might have had something to do with all those yummy ice cream sandwiches:)

Oh how babies can change your body!

Cooper born 07/08/09

First picture was May 2010 at approximately 189-181lbs, second picture was October 2011 approximately 150-148lbs. It took me a total of 2 years to get down to my pre-Cooper weight!

I was determined to return to my pre-baby weight before we decided to get pregnant again.

Hitting 189lbs in my second pregnancy June 2012. Cute pregnancy pout if I must say!

Measuring UP

I have been on a plateau for over a month in weight loss, but I can tell a difference in my body just by the way my clothes are fitting. So with the help of my wonderful hubby we did measurements of my entire body at the beginning of the week and will be doing them at least once a month to see progress in inches not pounds. At the end of the day if I can progress down in a pants size that is all that matters!

Memory Of

In Memory of

Margaret Holland Grady

1919-2013

My Great-Grandmother passed away this week at the ripe age of 93.

She was a wonderful woman who constantly put her family first.

I am 33 and if I live 60 more years what do I want to achieve with my life?

I want to be a wonderful wife to my husband and mother to my children.

I want to achieve a healthy lifestyle whether in weight loss or just being active with my family.

At the end of the day family is the most important aspect of my life.

What do you want to achieve?
